the next generation of Canadian storytelling – bold, unfiltered, and made for today’s digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Production:

  • Plan, shoot, and deliver high-quality video content for The Brandon Gonez Show, Now Toronto,
    and branded commercial projects.
  • Operate Sony camera systems (FX3, A7 series), handle camera operation, framing, and
    composition.
  • Manage lighting and audio equipment for professional production quality.
  • Capture b-roll, interviews, live events, and social-first content including vertical video formats.
  • Utilize drones (where licensed) and camera stabilizers for cinematic shots.

Post-Production:

  • Edit footage in Adobe Premiere Pro and collaborate with graphic designers using After Effects for
    motion graphics.
  • Sync multi-cam interviews, apply color correction, audio mixing, and deliver videos optimized for
    YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
  • Maintain and organize media using shared network storage and established file conventions.

Collaboration & Workflow:

  • Work closely with the Head of Content and editorial team to develop storyboards and creative
    concepts.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity and visual style across all video assets.
  • Assist with creating reusable Premiere Pro templates and branded graphics.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends, best practices, and tools to elevate content quality.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a videographer or similar role in digital media or branded content.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Hands-on experience with Sony camera systems, lenses, and accessories.
  • Knowledge of lighting setups, audio recording, and production techniques.
  • Solid understanding of storytelling for social and long-form platforms.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven experience with strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Advanced Drone Pilot License (RPAS) for aerial videography.
  • Experience with live streaming and multi-camera studio production.
  • Familiarity with Synology or similar networked storage systems.
  • Graphic design or motion graphics skills.
