The Role
As a Digital Account Executive, you are a driven, relationship-focused seller who thrives at the intersection of media, culture, and brand storytelling. You will be responsible for generating new business, growing agency and brand relationships, and selling integrated media solutions across Gonez Media’s owned and operated platforms including NOW Toronto and The Brandon Gonez Show.
This role blends traditional digital media sales with creative, custom partnerships. You are comfortable prospecting, pitching big ideas, and collaborating internally to turn editorial, video, social, and experiential concepts into revenue-driving campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound leads, events, agencies, and referrals
- Sell digital advertising, branded content, programmatic media, and custom sponsored productions across NOW Toronto and The Brandon Gonez Show
- Pitch integrated, cross-platform campaigns spanning display, video, social, editorial, and custom content
- Lead sales conversations from initial outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and close
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and strategy teams to develop custom, on-brand solutions for partners
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brands and agencies
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Track pipeline, activity, and forecasting using CRM tools
- Stay current on media trends, digital advertising innovations, and cultural moments relevant to brand partners
What You Bring
- 5+ years of proven experience meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience in media sales, digital advertising, branded content, or partnerships
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Confident presenter with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to sell both turnkey media products and custom, story-driven solutions
- Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for culture, media, and storytelling
- Experience selling to agencies and/or brand marketers
- CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus
